Crown
In a tree, the crown is the living canopy of leaves and branches reaching toward the sky.
Most people notice the crown first. It is the visible part of the tree. It is where light is gathered, where growth becomes apparent, and where the tree meets the world. Less obvious is the fact that the crown also creates the pull that draws water upward from the roots. What happens above influences what happens below.
The RootedRise Map begins here because awareness functions in much the same way.
Awareness allows us to see in both directions at once.
Looking downward, we begin to recognize the patterns we live out, the roots that organize them, and the deeper taproot from which our lives emerge.
Looking upward, we begin to notice what is becoming possible, what is already growing, and the fruit our lives may be capable of offering to the world.
Most of us spend our lives moving through these forces without seeing them clearly. We react to circumstances, repeat familiar patterns, and struggle to understand why certain challenges continue to appear. Awareness changes that.
The Crown is the place where the whole tree becomes visible.
It is the place where we begin to see where we have come from, where we are standing, and what may be emerging next.
Everything begins here.
